The study area (Taq-i-Kisra) is an archaeological site that was discovered in the 19th century and has been studied extensively since then. This was an important structure from the Sassanid era and the building was part of the imperial palace complex. The results of the magnetic and GPR study revealed important data on the general archaeological and current infrastructural distributions in the area.
